OK, I live in Austin, Texas but I only shop for glasses at Ottica in Seattle. There is one cool optical shop in Austin but they can't select a style to go with a customer's face for love or money. It is no match for the uniqueness of Ottica and Lorelei's superb selection. Not only does Ottica have great and unusual products, but Lorelei and Arlene supply terrific style and nurturing service. Everywhere I go people compliment me on my glasses and ask where they can get some. One of my very favorite things is that Ottica won't sell you a pair that doesn't really suit you - they'll even tell you to come back instead. Every trip to Seattle means a trip to Ottica and usually another pair of glasses. It would be dangerous for them to have a website-- I'd buy more than I do now!! – ANNIE B.

Ottica is where I got my latest pair of glasses. The staff is really helpful with everything from selecting frame and lens. They find up and coming designers from all around the world so you'll always have a fresh and unique look that works for you. They can cut glasses on site so turn around time is good. Unlike other places I didn't get a headache the first time I put on new glasses so they must be doing something right. – LAWRENCE L.

I absolutely love this store and the glasses I bought here. You walk in and the ladies working will pick out a gem each and every time. I get compliments all the time with these on and it makes me want to leave my contacts sitting at my sink forever. I've been following Lorelei through her Seattle career for over 15 years as she's made her way from Wallingford to Belltown (via Fremont). Now that she is an owner & buyer of her shop, we can experience the complete package that she has been perfecting all these years. In a word, it's inspirational. I've never felt such passion about a retail experience. She simply understands the challenges of providing a customer with a personalized artistic accessory that has a large impact on how others view us. I've never seen or experienced anything like it. Her talents provide me with perpetual compliments on "my" choice of frames and lenses. Clearly with Lorelei canvasing the designers of Tokyo, Milan, and Paris, there's a bit more to to it than that. I have to say the compliments are merited, but more for my choice of eyewear vendors: Ottica.
